Hi - I’m Jon. I’m a qualified wedding celebrant based in Sitges, just south of Barcelona. I’m from Dublin, but I have lived nearly thirty years in sunny Catalunya, together with my wife Orna and our five kids.
I’ve worn a few hats in that time - I’m an illustrator and children’s author, and have conducted talks and workshops in writing and painting. I've had the privilege of being asked to be best man at a number of weddings, both for family and friends - and the celebrant for a close friend's funeral - and finding the right balance of organisation, humour and heart is something I love to do. Training as a wedding celebrant seemed a natural next step.
I qualified with Mark Allen Groleau’s Unboring Wedding Academy (Mark is an experienced celebrant with a boatload of five star reviews, both as a celebrant and celebrant trainer). I'm fortunate to live in a beautiful region of Spain that's a sought-after wedding destination, and to count a number of wedding planners, caterers and musicians as friends, so if you need recommendations or introductions to other suppliers, I'm well positioned to help.
